Although their families possess wealth and power in the field of shipping or in business, some have decided to succeed in the field of art, be it music, art of acting or the fine arts or even Hollywood. Inheritors of aristocratic families with a great tradition in the field of shipping they forsook the money of their family seeking their own dream. Who are they really?

It is in their DNA

George Lemos who comes from a family with great tradition in shipping has proved to be a worthy successor of this tradition. Has set up his own shipping company Blossom Maritime Corporation; Graduate of the Nautical Academy in Greece and with further studies in top colleges such as Morley College and the City of London Polytechnic, holder of a Masters degree in Maritime Economics, George Lemos managed from early states to prove that he could stand proud side by side to the great names of shipping.

At the same time, however, he chose to spend time with his great love, music. In fact he has on his credit a collaboration with Niko Foscolos in the screen play "Wild Youth", he composed “Aphodite’s Melody”. In the years 1983, 1984 & 1985 he took part in the three successive years in the Eurovision competition when he composed the music for some of the songs. Following the release of his two records, the Oasis and the Conquistador, the ship owner, released before Christmas his third completed work under the title of Echoes, where he has signed the music and the Lyrics of three songs.

The same road to art have followed his nieces Irene and Loukia Lemou. The first after studying Shipping in a private school in Glyfada is a devoted follower of acting. She made her debut in the screen play Alter Ego with the leading actor Sakis Rouvas.

On the other hand Loukia lemou, daughter of Markos Lemos, loves dancing. We met her as a candidate in the show "so you thing you can dance" where she was given a rough time because some thought that she was chosen because of her name. In fact only few people knew that she had worked for several years in dancing clubs in Thessaloniki, dancing mainly R’nB’. She had also taken part in a dancing completion and had won top prise in the show of Roula Koromila.
