Music has always been the great love of George P. Lemos who in addition to been a successful ship owner he is also a maestro of composing and lyrics. In his new CD titled "Echoes" the offspring of the well known shipping family signs the music as well as the lyrics of three songs. Seven of the rest are signed by the Lyrics - writer Katerina Mpozoni, one is signed by Antony Pappas. The singers are Panos Kapiris, Iro Saia, Stellios Karpathakis, Irini Zoi and Xenia. The proceeds from the sale of the CDs will be donated to the Institution "Iliaxtida" for children with the Down Syndrome.

Ships and Accordion

G. Lemos is a graduate of the Aspropyrgos Marine Academy. He reached the rank of the Chief Officer having served on board ships for three years. Following this he attended Morley College and the City of London Polytechnic and was employed by shipping companies.

To date he has his own shipping company "Blossom Maritime Corporation" in Piraeus. At the same time he spends time with music his love since the age of eight. It was then that he started to play the accordion, followed by the piano. He has collaborated several times with the composer Baggeli Pitsiladi ("Oasis", "Conquistador") and has composed Aphrodite’s Melody for the screen play "Wild Youth" of Nikos Foskolos. He has taken part several times in the Eurovision completion. In the year 2007 he released his record "Eclipse".
